A Little Bit About Me

     


    My name is Noah Medina, I'm 16 and I go to Fort Lauderdale High School. This is hopefully going to be my last year in high school because I plan on graduating a year early even though I am only a Junior. Also, the main reason I am in Media Studies is to get the last credit I need for my Cambridge Diploma. I am very passionate about music. I am constantly listing to music no matter what I am doing. Since I am quite interested in music, I deiced to add a picture of my record collection. My vinyl collection is the most important thing I own. The first vinyl I got was about 2 years ago "Awaken My Love" by Childish Gambino. The first time I went to a concert was to see him. I don't only listen to music though, I do participate in it's production. I am part of a indie band called Apollo. I play the bass for the band but I'm not that good. Since I love records and music so much it as influenced a protentional idea for my commercial project. My current ideas are to make a commercial for a local vinyl store called Sweat Records. Best part about that is I already have plenty of props. I am very excited for the rest of this school year. I can't wait to start production on the commercial and future projects. I have a flood of ideas and I hope to have them come to life through my work. I hope to create a portfolio that I am proud of at the end of the year. I think I may have found a new passion.

Continued The Editing

       Today I continued editing. It is my second day working on editing for the film. The first I did was finish scraping extra takes. It is important that I do this well so the film looks the best. After spending 20 minutes re-watching the recording I think I found all the best takes. Thankfully I did most of this the other day so it was quick. The next part of editing was removing the dead space between clips. Since there were so many clips I was finding it hard to close the gaps in a timely manner. This led me to asking Google for tips. After that I learned that right clicking the dead space removes it instantly. This was much faster than what I was doing before. Finally, all the footage was condensed down to a manageable size. Then, I started cutting parts of the clips. A lot of clips had extra footage at the start and end. I took it all away. Now the film was sitting around 3 minutes and 30 seconds.
