Started Editing For The Commercial

    Today I started working on the editing for the commercial. I used Wonder Share Filmora to edit the video. Since there is footage of Sweat Records and of the instruments, I could start editing. I figured I should start now so I don't get overwhelmed with work in the future. Also, I would not be able to finish today because there is still footage that I need. Regardless, I got a good start on it. For the most part it was quite easy but also very tedious. Yesterday when I filmed the instruments, I filmed far more than I needed to. This meant I had to sift through a bunch of footage. Thankfully the footage Matthew took was only half a minute long. For the most part I are just cut down the footage to fit the length of the commercial. I might have to play with the length a bit more when I get the rest of the footage. I also, added in the background music in. That was the most difficult thing I have done so far. It was challenging to line up the instruments with the music. I tried to change the aspect ratio of the video but I could not get it to work. I will have to return to it in the future. Another thing I will have to do in the future is add a filter. I still have not decided if I want to put one on because none of them I liked. Overall, it was a fun and creative experience and look forward to finishing the editing.

Continued The Editing

       Today I continued editing. It is my second day working on editing for the film. The first I did was finish scraping extra takes. It is important that I do this well so the film looks the best. After spending 20 minutes re-watching the recording I think I found all the best takes. Thankfully I did most of this the other day so it was quick. The next part of editing was removing the dead space between clips. Since there were so many clips I was finding it hard to close the gaps in a timely manner. This led me to asking Google for tips. After that I learned that right clicking the dead space removes it instantly. This was much faster than what I was doing before. Finally, all the footage was condensed down to a manageable size. Then, I started cutting parts of the clips. A lot of clips had extra footage at the start and end. I took it all away. Now the film was sitting around 3 minutes and 30 seconds.
