These Are The Pitches


Pitch 1:  The music video is for the song Money by Pink Floyd.

The main idea for this video would be about a bank robber trying to escape the police. One hurdle is that we will have to buy some props like a police costume. I believe this idea has greater potential for story telling.

Pitch 2: The music video is for the song Watching T.V. by Magdalena Bay.

This video would be about the mundane parts of life and trying to over come the monotony of ever day life. We most likely wont have to buy any props if we pick this option. On the other hand, unlike the other option, there is not a clear part of the song that we could use. 

Conclusion: Matthew and I discussed our options and decided on pitch number 1. One big reason we picked this option is because we like the song more. We also feel that we have greater potential for a good music video with this option. We agreed that this would be far more fun to film anyways.

Continued The Editing

       Today I continued editing. It is my second day working on editing for the film. The first I did was finish scraping extra takes. It is important that I do this well so the film looks the best. After spending 20 minutes re-watching the recording I think I found all the best takes. Thankfully I did most of this the other day so it was quick. The next part of editing was removing the dead space between clips. Since there were so many clips I was finding it hard to close the gaps in a timely manner. This led me to asking Google for tips. After that I learned that right clicking the dead space removes it instantly. This was much faster than what I was doing before. Finally, all the footage was condensed down to a manageable size. Then, I started cutting parts of the clips. A lot of clips had extra footage at the start and end. I took it all away. Now the film was sitting around 3 minutes and 30 seconds.
