Cops and Robbers

 

    Today I finished filming and acting. I started filming at about 5:20 today. It was almost too dark to film. The sun had set right after I finished. I filmed Matthew acting as a robber. Before the filming I set up the props and put my costume on. The first scene was me filming him running away from the camera. This took a few tries because it was difficult to keep the camera stable while running. Then I filmed a dollar blowing in the win. That part was much easier. After finishing the filming it was my turn to act. My first acting scene was me picking up a dollar. Then I had to run through the street. This wasn't hard but it was really hot which made me sweaty. In addition, my hat kept falling of while running. This meant I had to redo the shot a few times. All in all, filming and acting took about 45 minutes. In conclusion, it was a extremely productive day for the project. It was also quite fun. This just means I have to edit it tomorrow and the music video will be done.

Continued The Editing

       Today I continued editing. It is my second day working on editing for the film. The first I did was finish scraping extra takes. It is important that I do this well so the film looks the best. After spending 20 minutes re-watching the recording I think I found all the best takes. Thankfully I did most of this the other day so it was quick. The next part of editing was removing the dead space between clips. Since there were so many clips I was finding it hard to close the gaps in a timely manner. This led me to asking Google for tips. After that I learned that right clicking the dead space removes it instantly. This was much faster than what I was doing before. Finally, all the footage was condensed down to a manageable size. Then, I started cutting parts of the clips. A lot of clips had extra footage at the start and end. I took it all away. Now the film was sitting around 3 minutes and 30 seconds.
