Costumes are dark used clothing or masks, lighting is dim with heavy shadows, acting is fearful, makeup like blood to create fear, props like weapons and flashlights, and the settings are typically abandoned places or forests.

Common Editing

Sudden cuts to create fear, long pause to instill dread in the audience and jump cuts for jump scares.

Common Sound

Loud sounds for jump scares and eerie music to keep the viewer on edge.

Continued The Editing

       Today I continued editing. It is my second day working on editing for the film. The first I did was finish scraping extra takes. It is important that I do this well so the film looks the best. After spending 20 minutes re-watching the recording I think I found all the best takes. Thankfully I did most of this the other day so it was quick. The next part of editing was removing the dead space between clips. Since there were so many clips I was finding it hard to close the gaps in a timely manner. This led me to asking Google for tips. After that I learned that right clicking the dead space removes it instantly. This was much faster than what I was doing before. Finally, all the footage was condensed down to a manageable size. Then, I started cutting parts of the clips. A lot of clips had extra footage at the start and end. I took it all away. Now the film was sitting around 3 minutes and 30 seconds.
