Phycological Horror Vs Rom-Com

 

Pitch 1:  Phycological Horror

The main idea for this genre would be a world "melting" around a person. Their goal is to find a way to fix it before they fall victim to the "melting." The opener would be the main character jest realizing what's happening to the world.

Pitch 2: Rom-Com

The main focus would be two characters falling in love despite the people around them not wanting it. In the end they get together. The opener would be a side by side introduction of the two main characters experiencing their daily lives.

Conclusion: Matthew and I discussed our options and decided on pitch number 2. We came to this agreement because we think it would be fun to create this opener. It also could be easier to film because we wouldn't need any special props.

Continued The Editing

       Today I continued editing. It is my second day working on editing for the film. The first I did was finish scraping extra takes. It is important that I do this well so the film looks the best. After spending 20 minutes re-watching the recording I think I found all the best takes. Thankfully I did most of this the other day so it was quick. The next part of editing was removing the dead space between clips. Since there were so many clips I was finding it hard to close the gaps in a timely manner. This led me to asking Google for tips. After that I learned that right clicking the dead space removes it instantly. This was much faster than what I was doing before. Finally, all the footage was condensed down to a manageable size. Then, I started cutting parts of the clips. A lot of clips had extra footage at the start and end. I took it all away. Now the film was sitting around 3 minutes and 30 seconds.
