Establishing Shots
Today I filmed for the final project. The first thing I did was grab my phone and get the recording settings fine tuned. I like filming in 0.5 because it gives a more spacious feeling. I then went outside for my first shot of the day. The shot in question was an establishing shot. It will be the very first shot of the film, establishing the setting. That means it is highly important I make sure it looks amazing. Thankfully establishing shots are very easy to film. All you have to do is find a good angle and press record. Something that makes this easier is having a ladder. Ladders also help with aerial shots. The second thing I had to do was film an establishing shot. So, I went to the pool. This shot will show the audience the setting of the following scene. This is important because the films name is Pool Party so the audience is expecting to see one. After that I decided to finish my work for the day. I think I did a good job getting the shots. It will help save time for the main day of filming. Filming ahead like this will ensure the film is completed on time.
