Script Writing

     

    Today I worked on writing the script. Honestly, this is one of the harder things that I have had to do for this project. I am not that good at writing. I need improve on it so I can become a better film maker. There wasn’t much to write but the little amount I did was challenging. For me it’s difficult trying to write dialogue without it sounding cringe. I wrote and rewrote the dialogue multiple times till I got it down. The first scene of dialogue I had to write was Elanor talking on the phone. In this scene she is supposed to be having a casual conversation with a friend. The friend’s response is not heard by the audience. This meant I didn’t have to write a response. The Second scene I wrote was the final scene where Elanor and Damian talk. This interaction is meant to be their first time meeting. When writing I made them introduce themselves. I figured the dialogue should be a bit awkward since they don’t know each other. Regardless I think I did a good job working on writing natural dialogue. Although nothing is finalized. The script could change if something comes to mind. When acting I could find out that the dialogue doesn't sound right when saying it. The next hard part is making sure when acting out the dialogue it comes naturally.
