Working On Editing

 

    Today I did more editing. It is my third day working on it. I have been making very good progress so far. I have completed getting the files transferred and converted. That took a very long time to complete. I have also started cutting extra stuff from the film. Today I continue to reduce the length. Right now the film is 3 minutes and 30 seconds long. I need to get it down to 2 minutes. The first thing I did was remove the scene of Elanor waking up. I think it doesn’t add very much to the narrative. It is something that can be easily implied by the audience. Its main purpose was to help pad out the run time if there wasn’t enough footage. Thankfully that is not the case. I think leaving that scene out makes the film more streamlined. The next thing I did was reduce the length of the establishing shots. This helped reduce a few seconds here and there. It’s nothing major but it will help in the long run. I think so far the film is looking pretty solid. I still need to reduce a bit more of the run time next time I edit.
